Welcome!
“Katherine Riddle is a natural actress…[and] offers a nicely controlled vocal line with a sparkling tone. Like her predecessors…from Barbara Cook to Kelli O’Hara…she possesses intelligence and a quirky sense of humor.”

‘Somewhere Else Instead at The Green Room 42
I've had a sticky note on my computer for over 10 years now with a quote from a speech given at Boston Conservatory by Karl Paulback.
It says:
“Someday at 8 PM someone is going to walk into your concert hall and bring you a mind that is confused, a heart that is overwhelmed, a soul that is weary. Whether they go out whole again will depend partly on how well you do your craft. "
Well, at this moment, I am meeting many minds that are confused, hearts that are overwhelmed, and souls that are weary. And I want to offer a remedy in the only way I know how - through music.
"Somewhere Else Instead", a solo theatre piece devised with two wonderful collaborators - TC Kincer and Alexandra Silber. It is an evening made of poetry, storytelling and song (lots of song).
Featuring musical theatre standards from Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, folk-pop favorites from Joni Mitchell and Fleetwood Mac and even some Disney (because we have to keep it peppy even when we’re exploring the bittersweet nature of being ALIVE).
Director: Alexandra Silber
Music Director: T.C. Kincer
Featuring: Matt Faucher
Filmed by: Famous in NY
Last performance: March 31st, NYC
‘Few Words’ at Act of Connecticut

‘Somewhere Else Instead’ at The Green Room 42
An evening of song and poetry ranging from musical theatre, to opera, to folk music and everything in between. “Somewhere Else Instead” takes us on a journey through the bittersweet nature of growth, creative exploration and self-discovery.
‘A Wrinkle in Time” at Arena Stage
Katherine was part of the cast of the developmental workshop of new musical “A Wrinkle in Time” directed by Lee Sunday Evans and music directed by Ben Moss at Arena Stage.
Katherine Riddle is making her mark with her “crystal clear soprano” performing in theaters, opera houses and concerts halls across the United States and abroad. She has been praised for her sparkling tone, engaging storytelling and quirky sense of humor.
“Katherine is "heart achingly touching [with] her soaring soprano and strong acting chops" -- BroadwayWorld
In addition to her performing career, Katherine is a proud educator. At the collegiate level, she has served as an adjunct professor at American University, specializing in musical theatre voice. She believes strongly in character driven approach to musical interpretation, and demands a high level of musicianship from her students. In addition to repertoire and performance, Katherine’s students are expected to excel at ear training, sight reading and music theory. She encourages students to explore a wide range of genres including classical and pop/rock in additional to musical theatre, as a form of cross training the voice to gain greater knowledge, control and versatility. Katherine values student’s individual needs, and works to build self-awareness, confidence and a skill set that can be carried through a lifetime of singing.
